Miracle Ball

Each December, friends of Arkansas Children’s gather on the Arkansas Children’s Hospital (ACH) campus to support Arkansas Children’s mission to make children better today and healthier tomorrow.

Now in its 16th year, Miracle Ball, hosted by the Arkansas Children’s Hospital Auxiliary and Arkansas Children’s Foundation, has raised more than $8.6 million to directly impact families funding patient monitors, the Infant/Toddler Unit, and groundbreaking research. Most recently, event proceeds helped fund the Emergency Department and necessary campus renovations at ACH, providing kid savvy design features and improving the patient experience.

2021 has been a year of twists and turns—for all of us. Arkansas Children’s is facing new, unimaginable challenges every day, dealing with the ongoing pandemic on top of historically high numbers of children suffering from respiratory illnesses and a national nursing shortage.

With all of this in mind, we will NOT host Miracle Ball this year. In lieu of our traditional in-person gala, we will host a Miracle Ball Matching Fund Drive along with an online silent auction and diamond jewelry raffle from December 1–11.

Children need and deserve our support now, more than ever. Please mark your calendar for December 1 and consider how you will participate in the Miracle Ball Matching Fund Drive. There are many ways you can join us!

  • Make a gift and double your impact—Jacqueline and Michael Retzer will generously match your gift up $250,000
  • Purchase a $1,000 raffle ticket for your chance to win more than 30 carats of gorgeous diamonds (necklace and earrings) valued at $125,000—generously donated by Jones & Son Diamond & Bridal Fine Jewelry
  • Shop the online silent auction featuring more than 50 extraordinary items, including a generator, curated Disney trip and a four season’s dinner party package

Join us starting on December 1! You will receive an email with more information on how to make a gift, purchase a raffle ticket and bid in the silent auction.

Miracle Ball is a special event for the children of Arkansas, and the hospital has come to rely on the dollars raised in most recent years, over $1 million annually. Thanks to your generosity, the Arkansas Children’s Hospital Auxiliary can support the expert pediatric care provided at Arkansas Children’s Hospital, including the important work that happens every day at the David M. Clark Center for Safe and Healthy Children.
